Math Academy
The Math Academy provides support for high school Onward We Learn students who feel less confident in their math coursework. Our goal is to ensure that each student has a chance to practice key foundational skills to become more successful math students, problem-solvers, and critical thinkers. Instructors will split the groups up based on need for Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2 skills. They will also provide individualized learning opportunities, engage the students in teamwork, and incorporate hands-on math activities. Additionally, we will provide test prep support with practice (P)SAT/SAT examples, strategies for breaking down the prompt, and answering multiple choice questions more effectively.
