What We Offer

Onward We Learn is Rhode Island’s largest college access organization offering free programming for students starting in sixth grade. Enrollment for the 2023-24 academic year opened in September.

Supportive Advising

Our advisors are a diverse group of young professionals who mentor students and understand the challenges that they face.  Advisors support students starting in sixth grade and help them succeed through middle school, high school and college.

Year-Round Programming

Our programs and services are offered free of charge to our families.  These college-readiness programs are designed for students and parents to prepare for and be successful in higher education. 

Programs include: 

• After-school academic and enrichment programs 
• Saturday and summer learning opportunities 
• Leadership development 
• Career exploration activities 
• College application workshops 
• College visits 
• SAT preparation 
• Assistance with financial aid forms 
• Parent workshops, trainings and leadership activities 

Scholarship Support 

We help students who are financially eligible to receive donated scholarships from postsecondary institutions in Rhode Island as well as from other colleges and universities in our Scholarship Collaborative.  We also help our students apply for grants to cover or contribute to college expenses.
